summer camp
summer camp is starting on monday. i've had orientation the past couple days, and i am so tired already. it's not like i've been doing any actual work though, so it's a little worrying that i'm feeling like this. i think it's the getting up early. i haven't had to be anywhere before 10 in a while! so this waking up at 7 thing...it's kind of hard. not hard to get up, just hard later in the day when i feel like crashing
. i need to get used to it though. i'll probably need to be up earlier once camp actually starts, and then when school starts i'll have 8:30am classes every day
.but i shouldn't complain. at least i have a job for the summer, and a full time one at that. it's hard enough finding a job right now, not to mention a temporary, full time job. it's perfect for what i need right now, and i'm very grateful to have it.
on a random note, i've had a lot of tea today. i drank somewhere in the neigborhood of 50oz when i got home from the gym, then tonight i had two large bubble teas
. and now i am drinking some valerian tea before bed to get sleepy. haha. i am a tea addict, i love it to death, even if it didn't have caffeine i would love it. i think i actually got dehydrated today after my workout, and that's why i've been drinking so much. i will have to do a better job of getting water during the day. all i had before my workout was coffee and mountain dew
.on another random note, i was approached by a guy while waiting on the bus. i was proud of myself for being able to come up with a fake name and age on the spot. in the future, i will be abbey, a 17 year old high school student. maybe i should make myself younger, like 16. and i think i need to come up with a good hobby. hmmm.maybe painting. or...kickboxing? lol.
this picture made me laugh. sorry it's so small, but i found it on fb that way

Nice to meet you Abbey!
That really is a lot of tea!
I'm sure you'll grow to enjoy the job.
Is tea really a hydrating drink? What is it about coffee and soda that is dehydrating?
@mrcolorful -caffeine dehydrates you, but at the same time cokes and coffee and tea are all made with water. i've heard it kind of evens out. i don't know why tea should be any different though, haha. you bring up a good point! maybe because coffee has more caffeine than tea? at any rate, i know i feel much more hydrated after drinking tea.
@galadrielspitcher - I've never heard that it evens itself out. I'd always heard that you have to drink additional water to average it out (twice the amount of pop from one biology teacher and coach). I think one of us might have to look into some of that. All I really know is that often after drinking a caffeinated drink I wind up needing to urinate more than usual and that goes for tea as well as mountain dew. Then again, you probably have a point about tea being hydrating at least in comparison to coffee.
@mrcolorful - yeah, they say that about the soda but...i don't now, it sure is made with plenty of water
. i read somewhere that there is still a net gain of fluids. but i don't know, it wasn't exactly a reliable source. although i kind of think it's true. if it wasn't, then i would be dead by now
.
@galadrielspitcher - You probably have a point there.
@mrcolorful - lol
@galadrielspitcher - I'm gonna go ahead and say that its a good thing that you're not dead...
@mrcolorful - :D
@galadrielspitcher - :)
