  • this weekend

friday i saw "date night" with my mom. the movie was okay, i had a fun time listening to my mom do this scream-laugh thingy that she does when she thinks something is just hilarious. that was well worth the  hour and a half movie in and of itself...haha.

saturday i worked out, mowed, and then got italian for an early father's day dinner. the dinner was pretty fun, and the spaghetti was pretty much amazing. i never get meatballs on my spaghetti at home :D :D:D.

this morning i saw the A-team with my dad in the theater. i felt like such a heathen going to see a movie during church time...haha. but i don't see him much so i guess it's okay :P . the movie was pretty fun, i would see it again.

i tutored this afternoon, and also got a new phone, yay new phone! and then i went back to the school church thing. i'm really liking it there.

after church i went to walmart to get some mountain dew, and almost had a panic attack.i couldn't see my precious diet dew. and then i saw it...the last case, on the bottom under all the cases of regular. YAY! and that pretty much made my day. i wasn't sure what i would do without any dew for tomorrow :o . i already had my mom make an emergency dew stop at the convenience store today, but that can't exactly happen during work hours tomorrow. oh well.

oh and i totally broke my no food at night rule, but for freshly baked homemade rolls, it was worth it.

time for bed now i guess. more getting up early tomorrow.

this is my new phone, except mine's pink. it looks like a gameboy hehe.

  • For fresh homemade rolls, anything is worth it.

  • I have yet to understand the appeal of those smart phone things.  Then again, I still leave my phone sitting at home or in my car much of the time.  I guess 6 years just isn't enough for me to get used to carrying a phone.  I only replaced my last phone because after 5 years it wasn't working particularly well anymore.  The phone I have now can do a bunch of things but I only talk and text with it and rarely even texting.

I'm glad the school church thing is working out for you.

So why do you do the diet dew instead of the regular dew?  Do you ever do regular dew?  You really are a dew addict.

  • @crystal_air - indeed.

@mrcolorful - haha, you sound like my coach when it comes to cell phones. he only got one 3 years ago and it's a pretty cheap one :P . i drink diet dew for a couple reasons. for one thing, i think it tastes good and doesn't leave a sugary aftertaste in my mouth. another thing is that i drink so much of it, my teeth and tummy would definitely show it if i drank regular :P .

  • @galadrielspitcher - I figure its possible that my attitude toward cell phones might change in time if I had some use for the extra features.  I honestly have never had any use for all the extra features though.  Heck, its rare for anyone to even try to contact me on my cell phone, I've never been a person that is in demand by others.

I must say, I find your reasons to be quite valid.  Especially the one about the teeth and tummy.
