When you dream...
Sometimes in my dreams I am someone else. Sometimes this someone else is a guy. Sometimes I start out a dream as someone else and then somewhere along the way become myself again, if that makes any sense.
For example, the other night I dreamed I was a guy and tried to kidnap someone with another guy. We used ether to knock them out hehe:P. And then later on I decided I needed to change my identity. At this point I looked like myself again, I even had my school ID with me
. Of course, in the dream I did not notice this change. But once I was awake I definitely thought it was strange! When I mentioned this to a friend he thought it was weird and said that when he dreams he is always himself, or versions of himself, and that he has definitely never been a girl in his dream.
So I was wondering if this happens to anybody else. When you dream, are you always yourself or are you someone else sometimes? And do you dream about being someone else of the opposite sex?

I think the oddest case of identity loss I ever experienced in a dream was when I dreamed I was a watermelon.
Normally though, my dreams revolve around normal things like dreaming I'm an airplane that runs on skittles.
EDIT: Speaking of dreams, I should probably blog about the dream sequence I had last night... sleeping for 16 hours because you're sick can have an amusing effect.
to my knowledge i don't believe i have ever dreamed i was anyone else in a dream. then again i can't say for sure that i've ever had a dream where i was aware on any level of who i was. i suppose i could have been someone else in some dreams and just never realized it.
i guess the idea of even having an identity in a dream is odd to me.
I've dreamed I was a guy before. You're not alone!
Haha, I'm always me in my dreams. It'd be cool to be a guy, though! In my dreams, and sometimes in real life, too. Lol.
The dreams here I'm the opposite sex are the best dreams ever. Your dreams, though, probably hint at some deep psychological desire to become a pear.
@QuantumStorm - yes do a blog about that! LOL I've never dreamed of being a fruit
@mrcolorful - I guess it's odd, but then so are dreams!
@lifeonacitybusem4 - haha yay! I knew I couldn't be the only one!
@oOo_itsJuJu - haha that it would
@TheMushyPear - You may be onto something. I do admire pears...
@QuantumStorm - You're a wise, wise man to dream of fruit.
I think I'm usually me, but sometimes I feel like I'm a neutral viewer
