getting bored at school isn’t so bad if you have a camera with you. until lab starts i have a 4-5 hour break in between classes a couple days  a week. and this is how i pass the time.

i love how empty this bathroom always is at this time of day.

i still have no idea what was going on  in that first class, but the second class period wasn’t bad at all. it was pretty much all review from last semester’s calculus. we got out first homework assignment, and it looks okay. so yeah, i don’t know what my problem was last time, but this time it looked like actual math. and there wasn’t any talk of hyperspace and subspaces either. i think my biggest problem is the notation. i need to start studying this weekend. i know, it’s just the first week, but really i have nothing better to do. and it’s…you know…responsible.

oh, and today i took a nap on my special napping couch at school, using my lunch box as a pillow. it was pretty comfortable…until my leg started to cramp, which is when i woke up. oh well, i got in a good half hour i think.

multivariable calculus is freaking weird. and hard. i had no idea what we were talking about pretty much the entire time. at least i’m not alone. a lot of other people seemed super confused too. one of my friends was convinced we were sitting in the wrong class… we weren’t. anyway….yeah. most of the people in there have had linear algebra and differential equations already…i haven’t. i think that’s part of why i was so confused. the teacher was teaching as if we had all had those courses, but the only prerequisite is calculus II. anyway, i think the real reason i’m confused in there is it’s not really a callus course. the TA told us it’s really just a class to teach you how to think, disguised as calculus.so, a course in logic? okay, sounds cool.  i’m glad i wasn’t the only one confused, because at least i know i’m not exactly behind. but there were a handful of students who knew a lot of what was going on, and it’s a little worrying to me.

well, let’s hope i can figure this stuff out. i’ve never been this worried about a class before.

i’ve been to three classes so far today, and i’m waiting around until my last one starts. biochem 2 was okay. my teacher is somthing of a character, so that’s fun. although, i will miss my previous teacher, as he had a british accent. it made lecture fun to listen to.

i attended the biology 2 class. i had inteded to drop it because i have a full load as it is, but i could never bring myself to actually drop it. i got attached without even going to class. anyway, i went and saw several of my friends there. the class sounds pretty easy enough. quizzes are online and we get two attempts. the final exam can be dropped if we take all the other tests. and the teacher seems like a nice guy soooo i think i’ll stick with it .

my lab course was boring, but then we didn’t actually go into the lab. just syllabus stuff. we got out early and i had 5 hours to kill before multivariable calculus…so i went to the gym, making sure to take my time in the locker room before and after the workout. i also got to eat my lean gourmet dinner and a jello…and now i just have an hour left. ah well. i’ll find something to do until class. granted, i could have gone home and just come back. but at home all i would have done was take a nap and watch tv. i think i was much more productive by styaing at school, even though i don’t have homework yet. at least once things get going i won’t have choices like this haha. i’ll just have study study study. 

actually, i’m pretty sleepy right now. i think i’ll take a nap while i wait for class.

This break has been pretty good. on Christmas I got to visit my Mom’s family earlier in the day and my Dad in the evening. It was nice, I usually don’t get to see everyone on the same holiday. The visit to my Dad’s house was okay, but kind of boring. there’s nothing to do there but watch TV. Internet isn’t an option because 1)their internet is super slow and 2) they don’t want you going to any website other than email anyway, because they think they’ll get viruses. So I spent 4 hours watching Americas Next Top Model. Then I went to see Sherlock Holmes which was fun, but after 6 hours of TV I decided I had to get back home before it became habit. Lethargy breeds more lethargy, after all. Wierdly enough though, I didn’t get to see Stephanie on Christmas like I have for years now. It was rather sad.
New Year’s was fun, I got to see The Blind Side with Stephanie and my Mom, then I went to a party.

I had one week of of school, worked two weeks, and now have one more week to myself before classes start again. hopefully this will allow me to recharge, since I didn’t really get a summer break. I realized that I was literally in school all year, for 12 months straight. I had spring break and two one week breaks during the summer but that was it. And since I intend to do summer school again, I really needed this break.

Oh yeah, and I got a virus earlier in the break. It sucked. It still sucks because internet explorer still isn’t working, and iTunes won’t connect to the internet. I need to do something about it quickly, I just don’t know what. I don’t really know anything about computers.

One last thing: the school library is being stupid. I turned in a book last month and got an email this morning saying it was overdue. I hope I get this sorted out, otherwise that is going to be quite a large fine.

I’m excited about starting biochem 2 soon .

last night was the last gymnastics class of the session, and one of my girls gave me a white chocolate covered caramel apple. the cutest part is it has her picture on it along with a happy holidays greeting. it’s super cute. and super yummy.

her fur is growing back rather nicely, and she doesn’t seem quite so cold anymore!

it’s just flavored lip balm but i was super excited to find it. too bad they got the flavor wrong.
